The society had been established in 2004  by a volunteers  group in Anbar /Qaim ,since the first project had implemented by volunteers , it was  supporting 200 orphans in celebration day ( Eid ) in Qaim city, after that Afkar had proceed serving Anbar governorate and the local western area from Iraq ,currently Afkar  has two offices , one locate on Anbar governorate in ( Ramadi) and the second on Erbil /KRI .

Over the years, Afkar Society's scope of operations has expanded significantly. While rooted in Anbar governorate, the organization's influence now extends to the broader local western area of Iraq, demonstrating its dedication to reaching and aiding diverse communities.

About our Organization



To enhance its outreach and efficiency, Afkar Society has strategically established two operational offices. The first office is situated within Anbar governorate, specifically in Ramadi, where the organization's roots were initially planted. The second office is located in Erbil, within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), further exemplifying Afkar's commitment to comprehensive coverage and support.


The organization's multifaceted approach includes direct engagement with beneficiary communities and their representatives. By working closely with these local stakeholders, Afkar Society ensures that its interventions are well-aligned with the needs and aspirations of the people it serves. This participatory approach not only fosters a sense of ownership within the communities but also enables Afkar to tailor its initiatives for maximum impact.
